Psalm 5:11–12
But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You;
Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them;
Let those also who love Your name
Be joyful in You.
12 For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous;
With favor, You will surround him as with a shield.
Now that we have been made righteous through placing our trust in Jesus Christ as savior, we can be sure and certain that the favor of God marks our lives. A hardy belief system ignores circumstances, emotions, performance, and experience. A steadfast belief system focuses on the truth of the Word of God only no matter what happens directly in front of us.
The Gospel of peace extends to us all the counter reality,(eternity’s reality) that trumps all the ways of this fallen world. We can exist in great favor winning impossible battles with our greater reality. What we see every day and what we have been conditioned to feel and see is false.
All creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed. The whole of creation is now subjected to an alternate reality, a fallen reality.
But soon, very soon it and we will be liberated to thrive in eternity’s reality on planet Earth and beyond. But for now, in this dispensation, we can and we must insist that eternity’s reality take center stage in our lives. One way that can happen is to trust the Father’s Word no matter what we see or feel or hear.
If we are faced with difficult circumstances and we need a favor for a certain opportunity then we can envision our righteous creations positioned behind our shields of favor pushing our way into enemy territory extinguishing the fiery darts of unbelief and pushing our enemy over the cliff to attain exactly what the Gospel of peace has already paid for us to acquire. Stubborn government officials, obstinate bank personnel, and imaginations that rise against the knowledge of God will submit to the favor of Almighty God.
Sometimes doors shut in our faces because it is Father’s will but I believe that is rarely the case. The most likely scenario is that we don’t realize how strong the battle is and we don’t utilize the assets that we possess through the Grace of our Almighty Most Powerful Creator, Jehovah God.
Favor needs expectation to accomplish our God-ordained tasks. Today let’s use our imaginations aright and see ourselves pushing our shield of Father’s great favor safely into every circumstance. Liberty and eternity’s reality are sure to flow.
Father, I am so grateful for Your excellent salvation plan. You took me out of filth and placed a new song in my heart. I’m forever thankful. I will force myself to see reality through eternity’s lens. I will push my shield of favor into every meeting and every relationship.
I know that the world around me needs me to be alive in Christ. I will see many souls saved and many miracles. I will see heaven’s salt spread all around me and my family and my sphere of influence. Thank You for expanding my territory. I love You. In Jesus’s name. Amen.
