“Embracing the Testimony: Lessons from Exodus 25:16”

Exodus 25:16

“And you shall put into the ark the Testimony which I will give you.”

The testimony here is the tablets of stone or the law or the Ten Commandments. In the same way that the Israelites were to place the testimony into the heart of the temple, so are we to place the testimony into our hearts. Not the Word written on tablets of stone, but rather the living Word who indwells us in the spirit.

Placing the Testimony in Our Hearts

The Word of God already resides inside of our holy of holies, and desires to flow out into our inmost beings and into the rest of our temples. Once our temples are filled then we pour out into the people around us. If we can get our hearts/minds to agree to the absolute truth of the Word of God, then we will begin to see fruit unto transformation.

Overflowing from Our Temples

Jesus Christ has given us His awesome testimony. He has extended to us His righteousness, holiness, and sinlessness.

Embracing Jesus’s Testimony

Father has truly given us His testimony and identity. Given the truth that we have had our sins removed from us as far as the east is from the west, how can we then be called sinners any longer? If Father doesn’t see us as sinners, then we have no right to cling onto that moniker. Father has removed our transgressions and forgets our failures. This remarkable truth should set off praise cannons and build confidence to the point that we use our authority to set the captives free. The testimony of Jesus Christ is our true testimony. The King of kings has freely transferred His attributes to us. Jesus has marked us for all the ages to come. Holy Spirit indwells us to show us how to spread His glorious truth to every part of our temples. Our part is agreement and to take every negative lying thought captive and slaughter it with the truth that we have been made righteous and holy and blameless and above reproach forever. Hallelujah!

Prayer of Gratitude and Affirmation

Father, I’m extremely grateful for Your Grace and Mercy. You have given me the testimony of Jesus Christ as my testimony. There is no way I could have ever earned that remarkable awesome gift. I’m thankful beyond measure. I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. My sins are gone! Hallelujah! I’m free to walk in great confidence in this lifetime. I will walk with no fear no matter what I face. I’m not a sinner but rather a loved and redeemed son. I know that I will overcome this world just like You did. I want to see everything that You paid for me to accomplish be fulfilled in my lifetime. I love You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
