If you are in business, a great marketing tool to have is a book. If you are a Christian business, you might want to have a Christian book or a book of inspirational quotes from the Bible. When you have written a book, you become an expert. It gives you more credibility and authority to speak on certain subjects. Books also raise you in people’s minds that you know what you are doing. However, it isn’t good enough to have a book written. You have to market that book. Whether you have received a publishing contract with a traditional publisher or you have opted to go the independent route, you will have to market your book. Here are some ways to market your Christian book.

Amazon 

It is important that your book is available for sale on Amazon. The online company is the largest bookseller on the Internet. If you are not on that site, you are missing a great opportunity. Also, Amazon helps its authors succeed with an author page, blogs, videos, and free promotions. Amazon will send e-mails asking for reviews and recommending books that other people have purchased. This free marketing should be used if you want to succeed in your book. In addition to Amazon, you want to be included in Ingram’s catalog. Ingram is the largest wholesaler of books. Its catalog goes to libraries, book stores and distributors around the world. Like Amazon, it offers free services that help people sell their books.

Videos 

To be successful, you need to have videos of your book. While some authors create book trailers where you bring one of your scenes to life. However, if a book trailer isn’t done well, it could backfire and hurt your sales. And, if you have written an inspirational book, a book trailer is not the right type of video. Therefore, a good video is to have someone interview you about your book. You want to use a professional videographer to create the video, but you also might want to hire a professional journalist to ask the questions. If you are a guest on someone’s show, you wouldn’t have to hire someone. You could use that video. 

Events

Books are not sold in bookstores. Most books are sold in places other than bookstores, such as speaking engagements, events, etc. You will want to create events that go along with your book. For example, if you wrote about Bible versions to help families, you will want to create an event for families. You could ask your church or school to have something. In addition to the events you create, you will want to attend community events. Get a table at events that will have the right audience for your book, but try different ones. Some will work for you, and others won’t. Even if you don’t sell at an event, you get yourself exposure for your book.

Online Marketing 

You will want to do online marketing for your book website page. Make sure your book page is optimized and has pictures. Having a Paypal button also helps to get you sales. You will need links to your book page and your Amazon author page. These will raise up your book when people are searching for inspirational or spiritual books. Promote your book online in other ways as well. You might even try doing social media advertising to bring traffic to your book page.

Reviews 

The reviews are what sells books. You need reviews on Amazon and other sites, such as Goodreads. Getting people to review your book might become a challenge, but once you have them, people will want to read your book over others. Giving away books will help boost the number of reviews you have. You can ask people to review your book that they received for free.
