These tips come from years of struggle and learning the Word of God. Jesus has taught us a way to market good news, products and services. If you are Christian, a pastor, a minister, a chief executive officer, a chairman of a committee or board, or leader in business, these tips are going to help you in improving your Christian marketing. Below are some tips for effective Christian marketing.

Use Real Stories With Simple Words

We know the power of being real. As Christians, our faith reflects everyday life. Many believers are unable to speak their minds. They know that their stories are real, and they have a real gift that can help others in their circle. However, due to lack of communication skills, they are unable to deliver their full potential of their divine gifts. Marketing is also a leadership skill. 

 

As Jesus is the No. 1 marketer for the good news He brought to this world. The way Jesus marketed the heavenly kingdom is unmatchable. He used parables to make it easier for people to understand the meaning behind the messages. As Christian marketing experts and  believers, we must use the tone and words which are easier for our audience to understand and align with their mindsets.

 

Our parents used to tell us stories before we went to sleep. Every time we share stories, childhood memories, the stories help to explain the real meaning of messages. In fact, it increases the impact of the message on the audience. For example, the stories will show that teens’ behavior comes from themselves. It might not be mother or father behavior that is toxic toward you. teaching teens after Sunday service 

 

Most of the time, we do not review our own actions. This is the longest and most important relationship that we have in our life. Observe closely how you feel about yourself. What can make you the best person on this Earth? How do your thoughts and feelings align with the Word of God? What would Jesus do if He were in your situation?

The real Christian marketers are those sons and daughters of the most High God who are spirit-filled and no longer live their lives for themselves. They have divine missions and purposes. Their drive is not to gain materialistic things but an everlasting treasure in heaven. As Jesus said in Matthew 6:19-21:

 

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on Earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

 

 

Understand the Interest of Your Audience

The mistake many marketers make when they start speaking about themselves is they do not consider the interest of their audiences. This world is full of distractions. Nobody wants to pay attention to others. Is he speaking something of interest to me or a benefit to me? We all know how Jesus approached Peter when he first met him. He politely asked him if He could have a seat on his boat. Then, He requested Peter to move into deeper water. Peter explained the situation, but because Jesus was speaking of Peter’s interest, which was to catch fishes, Peter was unable to deny the request. 

 

And once Peter saw that he was blessed with countless fishes by following Jesus’ advice he became one of His biggest fans. When you speak about people’s interest first and know the interest of your audience, you will become a better marketer. You can expect that soon you will attract a huge following.

Respect their interest

Well, you know we need to respect everyone. Even the worst person in our circle expects us to treat him or her with respect. We know it is not a person who is bad but their sinful actions and intentions that cause them to act badly. You  can hate somebody but still respect him or her. A biblical reference about this can be found at the death of Moses. An arch-angel was not misbehaving with the devil: Jude 1:9  But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not himself dare to condemn him for slander but said, “The Lord rebuke you!” You also want to respect your competitors. Your competitors are not your enemy. If you focus on your daily activities and lifestyle habits, they are actually allowing you to fail and fall behind your competition. Your competitors’ presence in the market is also a sign that there is potential in your niche. You are not the only ones thinking about the audience you want to serve. Respect your competition. Instead of copying them, lead by example. Start new trends. Introduce something nobody else is doing in the market.

 

Only Promise What You Can Achieve

Many marketers and business owners make this mistake. As believers, we should promise only something we can reach. We know we are not robots or machines. We are also not God. However, the level of commitment we present forms a perception in the mind of the audience of what type of Christian we are. If we cannot fulfill our promises, then it is better not to make one. In our experiences, our mentors have shared that nothing is more important in business than keeping a promise.

 

It is one of the top attributes of our Father in Heaven. Jesus had taught us this and led by example about keeping a promise. Christian marketers must keep their promises. If you are unable to achieve something, try to replace the value with something you can deliver. For example if you are unable to increase 500 subscribers on YouTube, add 500 followers on Facebook and 200 subscribers on YouTube. 

 

Forget Marketing, Learn Teaching

Put your audience’s interest first and serve first before you expect to get paid. Successful business leaders and marketers never work for money alone. Although they earn money and use it for their needs, their sole purpose is not to earn money. Rich people learn and grow. Poor people work for money. If you are selling your time for money, as Christians, you are making the biggest mistake of your life. If you are working to Glorify the name of the Lord, then the Father in Heaven will be happy to bless the work of your hands. Learn from Scriptures. Dive deep into the ocean of His wisdom. “Who can know Him unless He Himself revealed Him and His Holy presence to somebody?” When you learn about your audiences, then you understand their pain and problems at a much greater extent.  You cannot teach unless you learn. Education-based marketing is a new trend, and it is the perfect way of showing the real value of something you are promoting.

Explain Why You Are Different

Marketing  is a science of attracting the attention of qualified prospects who have already been seeking the kind of help you are offering through your website, social media and other media. If you do not know why you are different, then you will have difficulty reaching the right people to be clients. You also be counted as bad marketers or spammers who do not know the exact targeted audience for their products or services. Explain in one sentence like Jesus said with an authority in John 8:46: “Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don’t you believe me?
