Can God Change His Law or Commandment?

Most Christians are confused about the holiest and merciful nature of our Father in Heaven.

When they read the Bible, they read it for reading sake or to get the answers they want to hear. Desiring the truth and knowing the exact nature of God is not seen in the searchers’ queries or questions of believers.

Are you looking to know who God is? Or do you simply want to satisfy yourself that your answers somehow match the scriptures?

At one point, God asks His people not to marry or have sexual relations with prostitutes.  “They shall not take a wife that is a whore or profane; neither shall they take a woman put away from her husband: for he is holy unto his God”. Leviticus 21:7

But at another point, He is asking His own prophet to go and marry one of the prostitutes or with a promiscuous woman?  “When the Lord began to speak through Hosea, the Lord said to him, “Go, marry a promiscuous woman and have children with her, for like an adulterous wife, this land is guilty of unfaithfulness to the Lord.”Hosea 1 : 2

This might confuse new believers easily and even faithful believers are missing the understanding and the purpose of these two commandments!

The first is to show them their God is holy and does not desire His people to have any kind of relations with sinners. The second commandment, which is opposite the first order, is to go after marrying a promiscuous woman, to show His people the exact image of their current unholy status.

Sending the holy prophet toward a promiscuous woman for marrying to show the nation that I am holy God, like the prophet but you are like the unholy children of this prophet who have married the promiscuous woman.

Asking the prophet to marry the promiscuous woman does not mean that God wants to break His own holiness but He wants to show His people that I am so holy but you had become children of an unholy woman.

This present world is giving a picture of an unholy woman. God can never go against His commandment but He can change or amend it to better serve His people. Laws are made for people. People are not made for Law.

The purpose of kingship is to serve His people better, to train them to teach them to know their King and His Holiness exactly in a manner He sees Himself. The King can do anything to teach and train His people.  A good and wise King like our Lord Jesus Christ surely is going to change or amend any law He wants to change, to serve His people better and turn them back to good ways from their wicked ways

“Think not that I am come to destroy the law or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily, I say unto you, Till heaven and Earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.”Matthew 5:17-20
