Exercising is important whether it is your body or spiritual life. We all know this truth. For many reasons, we don’t get training on our spiritual life on a daily basis. Knowing something and practicing that same thing are two different things. For Born-Again Christians, we must walk in the Spirit. We must be an example of our Lord Christ Jesus. He should be a role model for everything we do. A friend asked me why my kids do not obey my principles. I answered him that setting an example for others will differentiate us from the world. Let’s explore why spiritual training is more important than physical training.
Spirit Creates Body
The Spirit created the body. The body does not create spirit. The Heavenly Father created our body by giving us His own breath. “Then, the Lord God formed the man out of the dust from the ground and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils, and the man became a living being”.Genesis 2:7 He added spirit into our body before this. It was not a living being. So a human became living by the Spirit of God provided. So essentially we can see the spirit has more effect than the body. In other words, the spirit can live without the body but the body can not live without the spirit. Taking care of our spiritual needs is more important than taking care of the body.
Human Spirit Gives Energy to Our Bodies
Yes, that is right. The human body gets energy from blood and from spirit. The Bible says our spirit can give us power. At the time of trial, Jesus said the body is weak but the spirit is strong. “Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”Matthew 26:41.Sadness, stress, and depression can have a deep impact on our energy level. However, if you know how to use your spirit, and if you are a born-again Christian, you can fight back with the help of the Holy Spirit. You can get your energy back through the Holy Spirit.
The Spiritual World Is More Powerful than Physical World
We are trained to believe only things we can see. Believers who are born-again are people who are born through the Spirit of God and from the Second Adam (Jesus). The Bible says they are not born by human desire nor by blood but by the Spirit of the Lord, which were born not of blood nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:13 Our Spiritual eyes of believers are opened and we can see how the spiritual realm work. Everything unseen is more powerful than the things we can see. Jesus knew this truth before He went to give His blood on the cross. He washes the spiritual sins of all humankind with His blood. Opening the door for believers to understand who created the visual world, lives in an unseen world (Spirit World). Experience His presence will give us countless power and authority to do anything we want in the physical world. Jesus said when my words are in you, and you are true and loyal to my words, ask whatever you want. It will be done for you. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. John 15:7
