Marketing a church is quite different than marketing a business or service. The church is a place where people go for education, freedom, and joy. People listen to the Holy Divine voice through word of God and by attending the church. This aspect can not be matched with businesses and services of this world. Some Marketers believe that marketing for church and business needs similar strategies and tools. However, they forget about the basic difference of purpose or motivation of the audience. People have different reasons for attending a church over a business.

The church is not a place for conducting the business of this world but business is of heaven and earth. When we see divine processes all around us, everything is so systematic. This clearly shows us the wisdom and knowledge of our heavenly Father. The thinking of God and man can not be matched. For promoting a church, we need holy people who know the ins and outs of the audience who attend the church…

Regular marketers, can not go beyond the expectation of church leadership. Only born-again Christians can promote churches and Christian ministries in the right manner. One reason churches and ministries need Christian marketers because they know the Christian audience far better than other marketers. Marketing is all about showing value to your targeted audience. Born-again Christian can show other people the value of becoming joining a local church.

When we think about marketing, we think about selling something. In reality, this is not the case. Using modern technology for spreading the Gospel is becoming more important. Marketing, particularly digital marketing, is a perfect way to be successful in church ministry.

Speaking to the right people at the right time is what preachers and churches should consider. Christian audience is attracted when you promote the right Christian festivals or events at the right time and right way. People want to participate, but only when they are touched at the right moment. For example, Christmas songs need to be promoted three to four months before Dec. 25. Christian movies should be promoted at the start of production.
