Five Reasons Why Christians Need to Be Good Followers

Despite what people believe, good leaders are good followers. Jesus is a leader in the past, present, and future, but He follows whatever God (Heavenly Father) wants Him to do. If you can not follow what your leader is telling you, this means you can not be a good leader. Creating leadership roles is important. That is why God sent Jesus to show us the types of leaders He wants us to become. Here five reasons why Christian entrepreneurs need to be good followers before they can become good leaders.

Humble Yourself

God blesses those who are humble enough to keep their own desires and wishes away. Jesus shows us an example of humbleness by becoming human. Temptation came to Him in exactly the same way temptation comes to us. He never uses His own knowledge or wisdom to answer the Devil, but He answered with the Word of God.

Be Well-Trained

Training is so important for leaders. This is a basic leadership principle. Despite this basic fact, we often jump to leading positions without getting proper training. Although training is necessary first, you must listen and follow the Holy Spirit who gives us true education, knowledge, and wisdom. He helps us to understand how and why we should be proud of Christ Jesus and His suffering. If Christians want to be proud of something, we should be proud that Jesus took the cross of our sins and died for us. We need to understand that we must follow Jesus to become a great Christian leader.

Find Great Attributes

To become great leaders, Christian business owners must find hidden attributes in themselves. God created all Christians with different attributes and ministries to lead like no other. Only true Christians understand this, and they always strive to find those qualities that separate them from the rest of the Church. Following true leaders is an attribute that will eventually make us top leaders.

Carry Our Crosses

Suffering is a gift for Christian leaders. God wants to reward those who can bear fruits while carrying our crosses. The greater the suffering, the greater the reward will be. The bigger the leader, the bigger the suffering he or she has to endure. Suffering makes us stronger and makes us role models for others who are following us. And Suffering is a great source of learning. Last year, I have been suffering greatly. I remembered that God put 40 years of suffering on Moses before He let him lead His people.

Convert Followers

Moses’ desire can be found in the Old Testament where he says,” I wish all God’s people should be prophets.” St.Paul also said, “I want everyone to do prophecy.” St. Peter said, “We are a group of royal priests, anointed generation and a Holy nation. In my opinion, God wants every Christian to lead like Jesus and become like Him, so we can lead like our Lord Jesus.” When Jesus will come at the second coming, everyone who is a true leader like Him will be welcoming Him. All who are not leading or following, Jesus properly will leave behind. Whoever does not follow full or properly to their leaders can be kept in darkness and will not be able to lead in a way they should be.
